I’m a foodie. So when we discovered my asthma was mostly related to wheat allergy, My first thought was “just shoot me”. If I couldn’t have gluten, my family was doomed since I was the only one who cooked and misery loves company. Then God created Otto’s. A choir of angels began singing in my kitchen again and all is right in the world.
We’ve been using this flour for pancakes, crepes and other baked goods for about a year now. My children enjoy the taste, and I enjoy the ease of swapping 1:1 for regular flour. Tastes and bakes smooth, with a neutral flavor. Looking forward to trying more recipes with Otto’s!

When I tried this it was for the tortillas. Transitioning to Paleo we missed those. Now I make them all the time & use a tortilla press. Sunday I made a cassava chocolate cake for my daughter's birthday & everyone loved it.

Great substitute for individuals who have gluten sensitivity. The consistency of Ottos (compared to other brands) flour cannot be beat. The texture is amazing and is great in baked goods.
I use Otto's occasionally for baking, but my main use is the tortilla shell recipe on the package. My husband is not grain free and still prefers them to regular tortilla shells! I love that I can eat 2-3 tacos and not feel sick and bloated the rest of the day. Thank's, Otto's!

Going grain free isn’t easy. Nut free makes it even harder. Cassava flour has been my saving grace! The wrap recipe is the bomb. I find it easiest to press them right into the pan and adding Italian herbs and a little salt makes it super delicious. The banana bread recipe is also amazing and doesn’t even need eggs, the cassava holds it together just fine without it. I’ve tried Thrive Market Cassava and it wasn’t as good as Otto’s.

What is Cassava Flour?
Cassava - pronounced [kuh-sah-vuh], also known as Yuca Root - has been a staple food for millions around the world for centuries. We dry and grind this delicious root vegetable into a clean tasting flour you can count on again and again.
You may have heard of Cassava Flour's commonly known cousin, Tapioca. While they both come from the same root, they function quite differently both in baking and in your digestive system. It may help to think of Tapioca like cornstarch, and Cassava Flour like corn flour. Though from the same source, they are not usually interchangeable.
Otto's Naturals - Cassava Flour often works beautifully as a one-to-one sub for All-Purpose flour, especially by weight! Just use 120 grams per cup of regular flour called for in most traditional recipes. If you don't have a digital scale just give Otto's a good stir with a whisk before measuring it out and reduce volume by about 15-20%.

Hi there! We're Sadie, John, and Otto (our little CEO in the middle).
Otto's Naturals all started when I was pregnant with Otto. I began to take my health practitioners advice to stay off grains much more seriously but couldn't find an easy-to-use flour replacement that satisfied the cravings I had.
Two years later Otto's Naturals - Cassava Flour was born!
