  2. Prepare the cookie mix as directed on the bag using the ½ cup of butter, 1 egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until the cookie dough is smooth. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  3. Spread the batter evenly into the skillet.

Some FAQs:

Why is flaky sea salt preferred to other salts for baking?

Flaky sea salt is frequently used in both savory and sweet dishes as a finishing touch because it helps enhance other foods' flavors and gives them a refined feel. The coarse texture of flaky salt prevents foods from tasting too salty on your palate. Imagine a ton of fine salt granules dissolving on your tongue compared to a few larger granules of sea salt.

Why is my chocolate chip skillet cookie dry?

One of the reasons why your skillet cookie may become dry is because it is overbaked. Overbaking evaporates more of the moisture and causes the cookie to stick to the pan. Remember that when you put your cookie dough in a skillet, you are generally making a large, single cookie. So make sure to check it once in a while to gauge its doneness to avoid overbaking.
